When I noticed I was pregnant with baby no. 3 I was annoyed with le bae. don't get me wrong the did was consensual but he did it on purpose...how? See our family planning method was withdr@w@l so he decided that day not to or rather go two rounds consecutively and only family plan on the last round. Fast forward 2months later with a positive pregnancy kit I had to 'accept and move on'. Though to his defense he apologized profusely and was extremely supportive and generous 😋 throughout the pregnancy. I took advantage as though I had no complications nor cravings I feigned love for Chinese food and we ended up making For You Restaurant our weekend meal spot.
At week 20 we went for a scan; having 2girls already we really hoped for a boy. By the way I was mad at le bae because I was going to earn the top 3 under 30 yaani having 3los under 30...that needs a certificate as FB was only 3 wajameni... anyway I asked here for where I could do a 3D scan and my closest was Imaging plaza Hurlingham. We prayed hard for a baby boy and le bae even fasted as I was tired of the bad hairdays and salon dramas of the girls and also just wanted a new experience. Lo and behold , the sonographer took his time then pointed us to the arrow of God on the image!! Yeeeeeeey we were having a boy! my anguish turned to laughter and I renewed my vows to le bae , apologised for my reaction. I had put myself in trouble ooo... since we dint need anymore family planning and we were now in great terms our nights became action full with different styros as the pregnancy advanced. To take total advantage of this I intensified my cravings from China to Carebea, Ethiopia, French to any other restaurants I saw on sponsored adverts on FaceBook. Did I mention he is a Naija boy.. so he don spoil am wellwell
Week 30 came and we shopped around for hospitals and landed on Agakhan and after great referrals from here( by the way I love this group, great help from mature people with real problems and answers hakuna pseudo). We disqualified Nrb Hospital since their maternity wing was still under construction. we wanted the best for our son so we brought in clothes from the Unitade States . ( dont worry, we bought a few and most were handed down🤗) what we dint have, we at worst went to biashara street , no mtumbas. My son was going to be a Prince since his dad is from a royal family. Automatically his name would have the prefix Ade... you know those long Nigerian names always include prefix-mainname-suffix (truestory) no wonder the length.I was strong and went to work on time and attended all church meetings during the week. Le bae chauffered me everywhere. during the church meetings they'd always pray for me to have a Hebrew birth.(read Exodus 1:19). Fast forward week 38 on a bright Sunday morning; we woke up and prayed as usual. then immediately I felt a sharp cramp, I knew that was it.
Part 4
That Sunday morning we were all together in the room after prayer I jerked from the cramp and announced "he is coming today". everyone ran to mummy's tummy and they were all touching it awaiting a kick.. they did this a lot during the pregnancy.Le bae prayed again for safety of baby and mommy and a Hebrew birth as usual. I went to the washroom and like a pro(mom of 3 under 30) confirmed by the mucus plug. So I returned with the good news that "for sure our baby would be coming today... maybe at around 5ish... " estimating with the previous ones. But God was yet to treat me with a major surprise with this one. I went and made omelette for my people and when i finished another cramp caved in so like a Hebrew woman i held the tap and waited for it to pass. Bae came and found me in that position and asked if id make it, seeing I was in pain. When it passed i assured him "hii ni ya 5 o'clock we could go to church first." My phone reminder alarm for chama meeting set for that afternoon went off and I informed the girls I was 5050 since I was in labor. I prepared the girls and we dawned our matching Ankara outfits for the day. Le bae carried my hospital bag and we headed to church; a stone throw away from our house. That was at 10Am.

When the pain subsided a bit I noticed we had the babies in the car and they wouldnt be allowed in the delivery room. I started thinking of where I could drop them as most close relatives and friends were in church too. Finally I landed on my first cousin who's boyfriend stayed around the hood and I asked her if she was there. Luckily she was, but had no clue how to handle babies let alone change diapers, however she loved the girls as she had been chief organiser of both their baby showers. We dropped the girls at the apartments on Riara Road and since I couldnt move a step as the cramps were now intense le bae took them upstairs. It seemed like forever. Bae was later telling me the look on the boyfriends face was pitiful but he kept encouraging him. From Riara Road to Westlands was the nightmare that awaited. I kept screaming and any minute I'd catch a break i'd send links to my cousin directing her on how to change diapers and which cartoons to keep the girls busy. Le bae drove like a mad man in a rally. Anytime I'd scream he'd step on the accelerator. Then I'd warn him to slow down and he'd lie to me that he was climbing a hill...lol I wondered which hills were on Oloitoktok Road
Punde si punde we were at the hospital gate, my window was wide open and the soja at the gate with his discretion opened the barrier, so we dint have to wait any second for KAPS tickets. immediately he brought a wheelchair that I sat on and a nurse came and took over from him. that time i had to behave as the Hebrew woman that I was luckily their were no cramp attacks from the car to the labor ward. In the contrary le bae seemed like the one who was in labour. He forgot the car ignition on and left it on the driveway as he rushed to catch up with us. he was called back to re park. I was directed to a bed in the labor ward. Having experience; when I saw the nurse I stood, removed my pants, and sat in position for virginal examination (VE). she was impressed lol..."8cm" she said. Bae returned and we were directed to the delivery room. he wanted to go out and do the paperwork but was told as long as i'd been attending clinic there and we had the insurance authorisation, he would have to wait as the baby was almost there. The Gyna came in and as he conducted a VE my water splashed out. the pain that followed was unbearable. he told me to ring the bell if i felt like pooing then he went out. no sooner had he shut the door than I rang the bell. Le bae was now praying out loud as I squeezed his hand since the attacks became intense. The feeling was here. I screamt twice and one major push brought our Ade to the world screaming in joy like the prince that he is. See daddy leading the labor room in praise songs.... we all joined in to the song 'amenitendea....' "come and see oooo...." as the nurses cleaned baby and I. He then asked me when was he meant to scrub my back; as he missed the previous births; so I had been training him about rubbing my back. The nurses laughed and admitted that the God we serve is true. Baby came at 2PM weighing 3kgs.

All Glory to God.By the way, my fundi hid pieces of every Ankara he made us and set aside for Ade. He brought us baby Ankara shirts as gifts for the baby when he came to visit. thanks for listening to my testimony and I pray for a Hebrew birth for all of you who believe. AMEN
